My Parma Report........( be aware, many pictures ;-)

Mar 01, 2010,03:57 AM

To say the least, it was VERY cool & VERY interesting but at first i want to thank all my italian friends that took so good care of me!!!

Passionated guy's like Roberto Jatucka & Corda, Alesandro Ciani & Gilberto, Mauricio & Corrado, Barraca, Andrea, Stefano, Gorgio,
Auro, Alfredo, Marco, Peppo, Lorenzo, Marlon, Edouardo, Fransesco etc to name just a few of them i met, THANK YOU very much for your hospitality !!!!

It started here, in Köln Airport, thinking about what i will see the weekend...

Parma...

To be honest, the contrast between the rest of the Fiera & the watchdealers is enorm, the whole fair is more orientated on brocantic...

Fianlly i 'found' the watchdealers.... wink

&

I met some interesting arms ;-)

Best 6541 I've ever seen, WELL done Edo!!

Finally i met Mr.Pisani, i real big pleasure my friend!!

I tried my best, not for sale ;-(

&

But it was great to share and see the pure passion for nice vintage watches in Italia
I had the pleasure of getting invited to a collectors dinner at openings day...

Mamma mia!!

At least he has 1 Rolex he told me ;-)

&

Some collection of Rolex chrono's from Maurizio...

@ Jacuta...

Around the corner a nice Kampfschwimmer...

@ Alesandro & Gilberto

Lunch at the Fiera...

Chearleader Marco ;-)

Checking BC movement in the sun...

Some more exceptional...

And Daytona on the moon with Apollo 7!!

&

Yes, i brought back some new stunners, like the tropical brown 6538 & SYL 6350 honeycomb in excellent condition for instance...

The brown BC is from Alessandro, he's truly a gentleman!! & the fine Serpico i got from Roberto, my BIG friend!

Happy as a child i'm back home, thanks i could share the pure italian passion!!!

Best to all

I just checked with the current owner and he's ok to show.... the Cunningham Daytona ;-) As you see it's sold in US many years ago by a smaller auctionhouse, think it was '97.. Watch comes with letter of provenance... best to you! rg.Philipp...

Fascinating watch, thanks ! [nt]
