1655 vs 1675: how to tell the Real Mc Coy from the Frankenwatch
As my contribution to this "hot" subject, let me present you some pictures of a genuine Explorer 1655 next to a "Franken" GMT Master 1675 fitted with Explorer dial, hands a bezel.
Neither do I have Jocke's sense of humor or photographic skills...but I hope my pictures can help someone in the jungle at some point...;-)
From this angle, it's impossible to tell the original from the Franken...
But with the Explorer on top, now you notice it has a fatter case:
....the different crown guards and the Explorer's larger winding crown are also obvious...
...and of course don't forget that unlike the 1655, the 1675 has a flat caseback !
