This one is first series which according to my understanding was produced only for about 2 years from 1985 to 1987; this one is dated from 1986. Reportedly the first series has the lowest production run and hence rarest. Bests

As we appreciate them here PP is definitely the house known for its fine PC and this first serie specimen 3940 is surely a keeper ! Big big congrats !
Hallmarks are on the left side of the case and not under the lugs!!

Gilt dial like the LE Beyer ?
Yours ? 😳 FYI that gilt one is the personal watch of Mr Philippe Stern that he wears usually in private, not necessarily in the official PP functions where he would have on the wrist one of the novelties of the year... The same gilt dial exists also in LE...
First serie
just 700 pieces, Mouvement 770000 to 770700 ! and the year is springing not sliding.

Mine was not. And I don't want it to be. I like the sprinting leap year, a unique quirk.
Definitely a keeper for the next generation.
