6204 the first Sub

I agree, 6204 was released before 6200 which is only from '54 and not first.

A continious mystery... but I will say first out 6204

Production of the Submariner model(s) started in 1953 The first produced was… one day we may find out! Till today I do not think there is any irrevocable evidence which proves which model was first ‘out’ between the two Submariner: Ref: 6205 and Ref 6204....

So, there seems a general consensus that 6204 came before 6205. That would make sense given the reference sequence. But that 6200 definitely came after 6204. The pictures here are wonderful. A fabulous reference.....

I'd love to see more pictures of these fabuous submariners. Any more collectors out there with these references...better still, anyone out there with both?
