Initial feeling was: NO. But, after inspection, i thought it enhanced the green writing and 24h hand. ...

I almost cannot believe what I am reading. You were thinking of letting your charming 5508 go? It lacks the power next to the 5512 / 13? No no. For me small crowns are in another league than 5512/13. Aesthetically speaking. Charm wise. Size wise. Purity. ...
No..... check with Nicolas....I have as good an example as there is....
.....it has the charm...yes....but it does lack power both against BCs as well as the 5512/13 references. It captures the balance between charm and sportiness well, but its not a powerful watch in my view.
I can witness that, for having played with it for a while.
Joe's 5508 is a pure marvel. Case and dial. And now that he found the right insert, it is even better! Best, Nicolas.
