Just checking - my LV still looks OK
Sep 21, 2010,02:00 AM
With the newest version of the Rolex Green Sub - it is NOW official that the original Green Sub is history.
The original green sub (aka 16610LV) was introduced in 2003 as part of
Rolex 50 years anniversary of the rolex sub, and did undergo many
changes in the last 7 years (2003-2010). This means that this model only
had a life time of 7 years - and if I should count - I would say that
there is sold between 20-30 normal subs for every green sub (pure
guess).
Somehow I still have a split feeling about this watch - the green bezel
makes this watch a little unique - how will the green color look in say
20 years from now...
But I do like the idea of my watches has a little color - and when I
don't have any red subs or DRSD - I can live with my rolex GMT with
pepsi bezel and my green sub.
Just some newer photos of my LW
Enjoy

But yes, the Green bezel may be the good compromise, with this small green touch, compared to the all green new Sub. I didn't get that Rolex discontinued the green bezel. Are you sure about that? Best, and thanks for sharing these marvellous pictures. Nic...

I think the green on your bezel is darker than mine. Mine is of a later V series. Very nice pictures...crisp and fresh.... I hate think of it, but i feel the green bezel will fade to lime green. Mines fading faster than usual with all the sun exposure.

I'm affraid your guess ' 1 green 16610 for 20/30 black 16610' is wrong The 16610 is rare for being a Rolex but not that rare. I talked with 3 dealers which I know very good, and asked them some info about the 16610LV. I can tell you that there are a lot m...
