I love this picture I took some two years ago. With the black background, put on a loupe, the 16550 seems to float in a dark night sky. If you add the fact that: - The 16550 is a magic reference. - It is a beautiful Watch, totally under rated. - The patin...

Nice

Looks like this piece is within the acceptable range of the Explorer II Cream Rail Dial... envy :) Post more pics if you have the time to take more shots. A feast for the eyes (and for Rolex fanatics too) indeed. Thanks in advance.

Wonderful

... now I have all the reasons I need to feel I die for having one in my own collection! You know... I´m so greedy! Have a nice week end my dear friend! Un abrazo afectuoso, Abel.

+1 on "magic ref".. Indeed a sublime, but sporty beauty.. This creamy dial is haunting me

.. One Q: has the dial color been 'creamy white' a priori, or is that an appreciated patination of a former white dial ? The shot also is like a scene in a theatre, the magician being behind the black curtain.. ;) And yes, quite rarely seen, here and in t...

So it is patination of the lacquer surface ??.. Or was it a creamy lacquer a priori.. ;)

.. Sorry for my ignorance & re-iterating: - apparently, I did not make myself clear ( or it is a stupid Q?).. Thx in advance for your info & patience ! Best, hs

Great shot, Nicolas!

The patina of the dial is superb on this 16550, warm, subtle, even! Deliciously creamy, which I much prefer to the pizza looking patina;) Lovely indeed my friend. Cheers Francois
