Like the previous years, Bernhard and Philipp have been kind enough to organize a two-days top vintage Rolex GTG in the Netherlands.
The party is just over and I'm still a little dizzy after seeing so many beautiful watches....and having so much fun with friends !
Yesterady, my day started at 4 AM....but after a couple of hours, I was already closer to the target...
While waiting for the pick up (thanks Steven !), a little bit of cool music does not hurt...
A first stop in a well know adress for the vintage watches afficionados from around the world
Some famous people have already landed and dropped their luggage...
On the way to the party, we are passed by a Panamera.....and it appears that someone is chasing it...
Don't try this way....
Another try, obvisouly Philipp is in a rush !....
But now there's too much traffic to go on :-(
We have finally arrived and friends are really happy to see each other again...People from the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Sweden, France, the USA, Belgium, etc...
And we open the first watch boxes....or should I say... treasure chests ?
Roger's 6263 with Newman dial is such a nice example....a true beauty !
My Comex has found another thin case 1665 with a brown Mk2 dial....you won't see two of these together very often !
Wow Maurizzio: thanks for bringing so many nice pieces...I can only show a selection of your magic box...
A GMT Master ref. 6542 for the Pan Am....I'm drooling over it....!
The caseback engraving is so nice....
And what can I say about this Jean Claude Killy, an absolute collector's dream for most of us ?
A close up of the watch, which is such a nice and rare Rolex icon...
Just like this Cosmograph with pulsometric scale....the first example that I can see in the metal... thanks to Maurizio !
But maybe my favourite Rolex watch of the day is this gold monobloc chronograph retailed by Serpico & Laino....in terrific condition !
Look at the beauty and the balance of this case and this dial...
I'm not the only one who is impressed by the quality of the watches...Passionate discussions start in every corner of the bar...
Now it's time to have a close look at this watch box: the world famous Vuitton case....
What a beautiful gold Cosmograph ref. 6239 with exotic dial !!
An early Milgauss with a stunning tropical dial....one of the most spectaculat watch of the day !
A 6062 in gold....a grail watches for most vintage Rolex collector...
Watches, watches and more watches...
A bunch of different Comex references with some very cool documentation and goodies...
And the most beautiful watch of the day, no comment is needed for this one...and sorry if it's not a Rolex ;-)
So the only thing to say is: two thumbs up for the organizers, the 100% Passion GTG is getting better every year !
