That is what happens when some crazy guys decide to get together...
The show is spectacular.
Let's see that in the detail.
1/ The Military pieces, a nice bunch of some great legends, here:
- 4 Military Tudors, all Marine Nationale, 2 Ref 94010, and 2 Ref 7924.
Here are the unavoidable Big Crowns together:
- The 2 Rolex Submariners sisters ( 5513 Marine Nationale on the left, 5517 English on the right ) :
2/ The Explorers:
2 very nice 6610, and a Freccione 1655.
Here, the 2 6610 side by side:
While the one on the right has a superb brown dial, the other, on the right, has a very interesting particularity, which makes it very rare... The Depth indication is written in red.
Here a focus on this beauty:
3/ A few extraordinary Daytonas...
A very interesting early 16520, which has 2 particularities: A 200 Km / h bezel, and an inverted 6 in the hour subdial:
And what to say about this 6239 Paul Newman, in great shape?
4/ The Pimpy Rasta Milgauss, of course, superb with its Khaki Green Nato:
5/ Less prestigious, but not less lovely, a great 16 760 Fat Lady:
Great patina, unusual thick case, this GMT has a lot of allure.
6/ I kept one of the most spectacular watches for the end... A gorgeous Double Read Sea Dweller MK II Patent Pending, which shows an amazing chocolate dial:
Well, what to think about all these marvels?
That we are very close to THE perfect collection ( there were also a 1675 Gilt, and a superb 6542 ll original and in perfect condition ) :
All the " professional " models were represented, and among them, some unbeatable references, and absolute rarities ( here, I have to mention a 5513 M.N from 68 which certainly deserves such an honorific title ).
Let's hope that our collections will grow up in number and quality, even if it seems to be tough to improve.
Rolex Heaven was in London, this time.
Can't wait for the next gathering.
Best,
Nicolas.
