New Rolex GMT Master II vs. Ulysse Nardin Dual Time

Nov 12, 2013,10:11 AM

I was wondering what people in this forum would recommend and why regarding choosing between the new Rolex GMT Master II with the blue and black ceramic bezel vs. the Ulysse Nardin Dual Time with black face?  I am mainly looking for a stainless steel bracelet watch that displays times in 2 time zones that can be used as a travel watch.  I want to be able to swim (not deep sea diving) with the watch.  I also want it to be able to be worn for casual and dressy occasions.

Would anyone not want to travel with the Rolex as it would probably be more easily recognized, which is also a factor?

Thanks

....you want it as an all-purpose watch, the subtle and discrete balck/blue of the Rolex works very well. I prefer it as a watch too. GMT...its the one

Which of the 2 watches is safer to travel with?

Which of the 2 watches would you be more willing to travel with? Does the fact that everyone knows what a Rolex looks like bother anyone? Would you be comfortable wearing a Rolex to a third world country compared with the Ulysses Nardin? Also, in people's...

Both watches look like quality watches, so i am not sure that either goes under the radar in a 3rd world country.

I would intuitively say that the Rolex is more known, then it represents a bigger danger.

The U.N is easier to read. You need a bit of time to use the GMT Master, but once you got how it works, it is very easy to read. Best, Nicolas
