Solid Gold Sub Graces My Buddy's Wrist

So for those of you who know me, you know that I do not own a watch with a single drop of gold in it.  Sure, I've got a bunch of stainless steel pieces, and even a couple of watches in platinum - but with the word "gold" in my last name, I figure that is enough gold for anyone.

But I have to admit when my buddy showed up at my house the other night wearing this beauty, I was dully impressed:

That, my friends, is a solid gold Rolex Submariner - something you don't see everyday.  First of all, at 35k, it's certainly not for the faint of heart.  And let's face it, no one's going diving with this beauty on.  Well, maybe there are a few that would brave the deep with all this bling in tow, but they'd better be ready to adjust their buoyancy control - this thing is a beast.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

- Scott

... I have to say, my friend's Rolex is stunning. Maybe I'm getting more accommodating with age :-) - scott
