I considered getting another AP, but I figured it would be like cheating on my wife with another woman that looks like her. So, I went with the Rolex, which is a completely different watch. My aim is to explore various brands to see what they offer. So far it's AP, Hublot, and Rolex. All have been exceptional pieces. I've read a lot of negative comments about Hublot and Rolex on several blogs, mostly from people who have no experience with the brands. I always wonder why they bad mouth Hublot on the Hublot blogs or write garbage on the Rolex blogs. What are they doing there in the first place? I don't spend my time with things that don't interest me. Anyway, I've been very happy with all of my purchases. Just because one luxury watch costs more than the next or because one company has been in business longer doesn't make it a better brand. Sometimes, I don't see what all the hype is about some watches regardless of the brand. Other times, I wonder why more credit is not given to some timepieces.

I just picked up my first Rolex today! I love this one! Clean with a splash of color, and it has a date. Would have pulled trigger on Daytona, but no date. What's up with that? Anyway, I'm surprised how much I like this considering I'm not a big rolex fan...
