Rolex

I decided to check how a modern Rolex GMT works in real life. Just a few comments: - the watch is really glittery. - the 24 hours hand is not really readable - the vintage GMT are much better in that respect. - the watch is thick, heavy and and the case c...

i have the modern GMT with the green GMT hand and I absolutely love it! My only pet peeve, if you can call it that, is the polished central link of the bracelet. I agree with you that the current design of the bracelet is awesome..

and the 24 hours hand is indeed more visible. I tried to read in Singapore the home time quite often but it did not really work. I'm wearing reading glasses and can see pretty well with those. I had also my 5110P with me. I could read perfectly the differ... 

I also took my Batman to a trip - to US in this case, and I absolutely loved it. I did not find it difficult to read home time at all, with the exception of when the home time hand is covered with the minutes hand. I think that must be a common problem wi... 

My problem is that while I have i.e. several Pateks, I am looking for perfect tool watches. For me the modern Rolex have too much bling and glitter and thus, can not be considered anymore as a real tool watch. I also find it weird that the edges of the ca... 

Some one who thinks like me. I too don't care for the modern heavy watches. Once you discover vintage- you leave the modern ones behind. Its really the same with cars. Although having said that I do like one modern watch. Its not a Rolex though but Patek ... 

I'm sorry but in winter I am very glad having a 4WD, warm, reliable and safe car (filled with crumple zones, seat belts and 25 airbags). But that could just be me....
