Need advice

i need help! I recently purchased a 1655 (not straight seconds hand) from an AD in good condition and to my dismay, the original bracelet cannot be modified around my small 6 inch wrist even after the removal of links..they claimed they would have to drill additional holes to be able to fit the bracelet (horrors)..as a solution, I purchased a vulcanized rubber strap from a company that specializes in fitting these rubber straps on vintage models..however, I still wish I can wear the original metal bracelet..

For all you vintage purists, any thoughts? I will be in NYC in 2 weeks and am thinking of taking it to the Rolex boutique to see if they can help me..advice please!

Go for a more modern one and remove two or three links.

As you can see from the pictures below you have a folded link ref 7836 and a solid link ref 78360. Both can be adjusted by removing links and further adjusted using the pin holes on the buckle clasp. Looking at the bracelet that would have been on the wat...

Yes very easy. [nt]

May I suggest a solution that might easily solve the problem : Reverse the clasp . That's exactly what I did to my 16570, and now it fits my wrist perfectly. The only thing to be warned is that you need to get used to operating the clasp in a not-so-commo...

Many thanks!!
