Rolex 6239.....

Certain watches conjure up certain moods. I remember taking this shot a year or so ago....amidst one of my frenzy buying moments on chocolate. Now, for some reason, whenever i wear this watch, I think of chocolate. I used to be quite unfussy....but over recent years have developed a taste for chocolate with very specific criteria. As a kid, I only ate milk chocolate....cocoa content of 50-60% or so. Nowadays, and after considerable testing, I find I can only eat chocolate with cocoa content of 75%, with a skew upwards....so plausibly could eat between 70-85%, but typically bang on 75% just hits the spot.

Oops, I can see I have erred into a "chocolate moment".

Anyway, the 6239 Daytona...one of my first Rolex....certainly my first Daytona. Stolen by my wife, but I still get to wear it a good deal...and every time it now reminds me of 75% Madagascan chocolate.

Not a bad connection!

In my desk, top left drawer...I keep at least 10 bars of it

When i get down to less than 3 bars, I re-order. Funny thing, the chocolate doesn't make me think of the 6239, but the 6239 makes me think of the chocolate.

That is an excellent way to manage your stock...

I did jump out of my skin when I saw the word "stolen" but quickly notice the rest of the sentence "by my wife" phoowee! BILL
