The 50 Fathoms is a better deal than the normal Yachtmaster...

The Bathyscaphe model is a great looking watch, with a provenance, a beautifully made movement, and is only a couple thousand dollars/Euros more than the Rolex Submariner.  Something every person considering a steel Rolex should consider.

It has a rubber strap on a rose gold case. This message has been edited by DrStrong on 2015-03-20 04:42:44 ...

On this picture it looks surprisingly very nice

Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Mark

They could have named it also a Sub rose: looks very, very appealing!

Wow! That is a very nice RG sporty looking watch from Rolex. Matt dial and matt ceramic bezel in a rose gold package with a rubber strap: what's not to love? Superb! Moritz

And a little red marking...

you emphasized the elements that I like a lot too Moritz! Time to dive :) Cheers, Mark

Wow I like what I'm seeing

looking forward to live pics :) Cheers Robin

Uh-oh ... they've done something to the case haven't they?

 By: sw-rick : March 18th, 2015-08:48
Just compare it to the existing model with the rounded sides ... I guess all of the sea-themed watches will have the same square case as the new subs, the only difference will be the different bezels and dials. Cheers, Rick

Looks to be in keeping with the modern line.

It looks like it is moving towards the AP Offshore and Hublot style. I guess it can please old and new Rolex fans. Bill

Could see this one coming

A patent from 2012 >>> amp;ki=A1&cc=EP Not for me, however I think it is a nicely executed addition to the YM collection. Dogu ...

nice

looking indeed.

Looking forward to see close ups of the dial, but hey, not bad at all!

A very warm coolness. Well played. Nicolas

.....looks good..... ....but thats because it looks like a Sub

Best of all

 By: sham1 : March 18th, 2015-11:58
Is that it will also come in 37mm so for once I can buy a Rolex that fits perfectly on my small wrist!:-) A beautiful watch with the rubber strap - so un Rolex which to me adds to its charm!

I am

The alter ego...

Of many AP of shore and Hublot in black&gold. Trendy and fashionable. One of the last Rolex i could buy... Regards

I second that...

 By: DrStrong : March 19th, 2015-05:24
...my personal opinion is that they are 15 years late with that watch. I was a big fan on the rubber / rose gold thing some years ago, but now I have just seen too much of it.

As many other trendy thing...

After a given time it, simply, bores. Regards

We have similar sentiments...

Eventually, I'd be bored with this watch. It might even be dated already... Give me the classic one, the classic Submariner will look good on my wrist for another 50 years.

The Grey dialed Yacht Master resists to time very well, too, IMO.

 By: amanico : March 19th, 2015-12:41
It is already 16 years old! Best, Nicolas

Not bad at all! By the way, it's interesting that they call it "Oysterflex bracelet",

 By: Luis6 : March 18th, 2015-18:07
because they make it a way that is different from a mere rubber strap. Quoting from the official Rolex website: "The bracelet attaches to the watch case and the Oysterlock safety clasp by a flexible titanium and nickel alloy metal blade. The blade is over...

rubber strap on Daytona

 By: keks : March 18th, 2015-22:47
Would be curious to know whether this new rubber strap can be fitted on an Everrrose Daytona… looks much like a rubber B strap but suppose material and feel is different? Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh!

I guess Rolex saw the success in the Rubber Bs!

 By: BABKA : March 20th, 2015-00:33
Indeed looks like a Rubber B band but now we will have an OEM Rolex rubber strap. And if it fits other models, that would be a big plus!

I don't see...

 By: ciaca : March 19th, 2015-06:51
Any specific singularity in the way it is made. There are already rubber strap with a metal core, just those strange cushions are some sort of evolution Regards

yes but the FF red gold...

 By: christianch : March 20th, 2015-19:03
Is bigger and perhaps even nicer :) the only downside is the hefty weight so perhaps this new rolex would be more versatile - wearable with a smaller wrist. I can't wait to see it live :) ...

I like it but I wouldn't buy it...

 By: patrick_y : March 19th, 2015-11:55
I like it today, but I doubt I'll like it five years from now. I'd lease it but I wouldn't buy it.

ahoy there ye gentlemen...

Rolex really have opened a new door here in their line. The bracelet throws down the gauntlet to the 3rd party alternatives. I really like the face matching the bezel in finish and texture. Looking at the diversity of the Yatchmaster, this line is probabl...
