OysterFlex?

I can't understand why Rolex did NOT extend the OysterFlex bracelet to fill in completely to the case!

When I first saw this piece I was about to call my AD and put in an order, but then I noticed the way the
bracelet is attached to the watch and reconsidered. It may seem a small point, but it looks unfinished and
an "add on" verses a RubberB the completely fills the gap.

At this point I've turned my affection to the new DayDate, the 40 mm size and overall appearance are
far more cohesive and elegant in comparison to the DayDate 2, which never really appealed to me.
The design of the new bracelet which continues the links right to the case is wonderful. Overall considering
the addition of the new movement makes the new Rolex DayDate the watch for me.

Now to decide on what color, decisions decisions????

.....is this .......well actually its not the Yachtmaster at all...... rather it is this..... Too much to say on this for the wotw theme.....and I just know I can feel a proper thread building up. But yes, this is what Rolex is all about. 14 new patents. ...

Great choice IMHO [nt]

My hand model could not decide between Rolex Day Date 40mm and Yachtmaster

She liked the new Day Date with coincidental new 70h power reserve, 0.2 - 2.0 sec/day precision movement. She liked the new gents Yachtmaster that did NOT have the new movement unlike the ladies model that DID. On balance, looks triumphed over engineering...

Interesting. You would have preferred the strap to " spouse " the case?

That didn't bother me on pictures, but now that you mention it, I have to see the Watch in the flesh. Best, Nicolas

Really like it

I don't really see myself buying a modern Rolex, but I have to admit, this one is tempting. I love the overall look. I would have to find something other than the rubber strap. Maybe a black nylon or carbon fiber strap. Rolex did a great job with this one...

Rolex to me is

Robust and innovative manufacturing ! Their movements are so robust and long lasting. Proven over the decades. Thanks for the thread Joe. A good theme! Cheers Robin
