Triple 6, better pics and impressions

Since quite a week, now, I'm totally in love with this stunning Rolex. I was a bit afraid that the SD was a bit too big for me, because the Red Sub was perfect in temrs of size, I was wrong! The 666 is really an impressive watch, with this maxi contrasted dial...The Black matt dial and these Vanilla big indexes give a lot of strengh and beauty, character! This is more evident when you take pics with a cerain angle, on its sides... When you take a front pic, the thing which comes immediately is the lack of ...

Deep Sea? What for?

Posted the same thread in Horological Meandering but wanted to hear Rolie fans' reaction, just in case you miss it there. No intention to offend anybody. This question has been bothering me for a while. Most divers today (at least the ones I know - I am a scuba diver myself) do not wear dive watches to go diving these days. They wear dive computers that tell them everything including remaining dive time, depth, decompression times etc. and all the calculations that a so called 'dive watch' cannot tell you. ...

42mm Rollie?

Greetings all: I usually hang out in the Panerai forum, but I had a DateJust President years ago.  I parted with it because I decided it was too small (36mm, I think) and because it was unacceptably inaccurate. Since then, I have become accustomed to larger watches (42-46mm).  But recently I have been considering giving Rolex another shot.  However, I can't find anything larger than 40mm.  Does Rolex make any model that is at least 42mm? D-Rock ...

Hi everybody!!! A note to let you know I just completed a huge update to the Scott Carpenter Rolex Story. I added a podcast I recently recorded with NASA Mercury Astronaut, Scott Carpenter. Scott was also a U.S. Navy Aquanaut and Rolex originally designed the SEA-DWELLER for his SEA-LAB program. I hope you enjoy. I am not allowed to put a direct link to * Blog on the Purist Pro site but if you type *Blog in your URL or Address bar it should work. I am including a very special photo of Scott Carpen...
