Some Rolex 1675 GMT's on a table cloth

 By: Bill : May 29th, 2012-12:31
Just out in the wild. It amazing how much character and individuality these watches can exhibit. The Gilt gloss period is a very rich one for the Vintage Rolex watches. There is a very special period around 1963 when there was a lat of changes even in tha...

That starts to sound like pure madness, my friend.

I love that! What a trio, Bill! So, how many GMTs do you own, now? 4, 5, more??? Didn't you have an underline, too? Best, Nicolas

Madness is repeating the same thing and expecting a different outcome

The out come with the GMT is always different so no madness. This was a mini GTG table shot. Best Bill

what can i say?

i love these girls. despite of a carnivalesque aspect, they preserve a unique sobriety. i go crazy for those curves. chris

I think the gmt has not been presented in so many ways

I think we have exposed more about the identity so it is easier to appreciate the variation. But as I said the gilt gloss combination really is a plus for appreciating this period. Now don't get me me wrong matt is very sexy too. Bill (ps matts when we ar...

They show a certain refinement

It is a small detail but with a big impact. The big 24hr hand is ice also. But for the gilt dial the small 24hr hand fits perfectly. Thanks Bill

Madness or Passion? Can t say for sure... But gilt, gloss and chapter ring...

... Just drives me crazy! (not to tell if it also got a fancy faded bezel!) I guess GMT got more personality than any other Rolex tool watch (say this in spite my special fondness for Subs!) Awesome examples Bill! Thanks for sharing! Kind regards, Abel.

The subs have a special place for sure

There is just a little more color to the GMT appeal. I will always remain a big Sub fan. Now with the GMT I have enlarged my base to enjoy the GMT's just as much. Best Bill

Now that is some some good news! ;) [nt]

I love the small 24hr hand on these 1675's, and love that interesting patina thats started on the middle one - with slightly different shades on the indexes. Thanks for sharing them with us. Cheers Tony

A perfect trio.............

Lovely GMTs!

Question: Nato with GMT?

By: Le Monde Edmond : May 31st, 2012-07:17
Dear Bill, you trio of GMT's are very nice and you seemed to have gotten the GMT bug (Nicolas may have played a role I think....). A question: Would you wear a GMT with a Nato strap? I do not like steel bands and was wondering how a GMT would look like wi...

I would do.

 By: amanico : May 31st, 2012-07:37
Just one example... Hmmm? Best, Nicolas...

whoa!

By: Le Monde Edmond : May 31st, 2012-07:41
Wow - it looks absolutely stunning my friend! Much better than steel. I am more confident now in buying my first vintage GMT. Do all 6542 come with chapter ring? Your example is very fine! Thank you Nicolas!

All chapter ring, my friend. If you fall on a no CR, stay far away. [nt]

with your 6542 on a Nato. This is what I will dream about tonight. Thanks Nicolas! I have a clearer mind now of what I want in the Rolex universe (which is not that easy because there is so much to chose from)! Untill soon I hope, best Edmond

You have great taste. ;) [nt]
