Apparently the first ones had standard dial brackets, but the movement of the lunette in setting the alarm (I spoke inexactly when I said the alarm was set by the bezel) sometimes caused the dial to slip. This according to Horlbeck's treatise, the Alarm W...

Technically I am not sure it should work; the contrast of round and square, Arabic and Roman numerals, black and white, but it looks fantastic. And I love the outer minute scale. A purposeful chronograph as well as a lovely dress watch. Thanks! Andrew

Dear fellow purists, this vintage Omega I value more and more, although I initially (after having purchased it) put it in the watch box where it lead a sad life. But this watch definitely comes to life when worn at daylight. It has a lovely patina and IMO...
