nato strap is a very nice combination, probably the nicest. I use one of them in my white 1680 and it looks terrific. I agree with you, GMT's are hard to combine with leather straps or nato colours. What I realized, after viewing your splendid photographs...

works very well with your 6542. I am not sure the steel bracelet is the best option? Not at all in fact. On a big crown sub perhaps and on a gilt, black laquer dial perhaps but not on your 6542. I am in the Nato camp on this one...! E
