Been to the vineyard a number of times. What a property (although I don’t think they let you view Gil Nickel’s car collection in the barn anymore).

You clearly love your chardonnays.

I haven't seen or drunk some of these labels for a long time, especially the sonoma -cutrer and far niente. The cuterer was fairly distinctive so many years ago along with chalone and deloach OFS,which was very fine, one of my favourites.I'm down to Chatea...

Back in the day it was all the rage. Peter Michael was another name that comes to mind.

I just have not been drinking California chardonnay since early 2000. My tastes evolved. This will be a fun surprise. Best Bill

I purchased all the wines. I usually lose a bottle rather than discover. Those late night cellar raides. Lol.

I love the late night cellar raids. Best nights.

I keep my collection in a series of spreadsheets with other key data. However, I’m a realist so I keep a 200 bottle Eurocave near the kitchen filled with drinking wine (enter whatever definition you want here). These bottles aren’t in the collection and a...

I approach it the same way. Drinking wine handy and always stocked.

Stocked so I don’t worry about what i am about to grab or if i tell the guest grab a bottle or two. Your spreadsheet approach i tried and after weeks of inventory stopped tracking and gave up trying to catalog what Inhave. But with a third of the cellar t...

A great problem to have. Lol.

For daily drinking 2013 Miguel Torres Altos Ibericos Crianza and for a little more special night but still for the Eurocave Marques de Riscal Rioja Gran Reserva 150th Anniversary 2001. I just snuck in a multicase order wink wink.

Potluck. But they have be in my cellar all these years. I don't have high expectation just having fun with them.

Five to ten year drinking window has long passed. But nobody really cellars beyond so could be fun.

Back in the day, but after one or two stale ones I accelerated my consumption a bit … best get to work, Mr Bill! I tried the inventory approach too, with spreadsheets, software, etc. but eventually gave up and just grabbed another bottle instead. Now I mo...

Not old, but this was a nice California Cab.
