And so I bought a new watch
By: SJX : December 7th, 2009-03:54
I photographed the latest Chopard LUC Fleurier a couple of weeks ago and was so impressed by the movement which even held up under the scrutiny of a macro lens that I had to have one. This watch reminds me somewhat of my Grand Seiko in that it presents a ...
Congrats!

Very nice indeed!
Congratulations on your new watch

I especially like the fact that they have rhodinated the complete movement (including the rotor). Enjoy, Dirk
Congrats, SJX . . .

. . . Chopard chronometers are exceptionally well executed and finished, and this version, with the exposed movement from the dial side, is the most rugged and handsome of the lot, imho . . . cordially, Art
Great new piece!

I'm still learning much about Chopard, but looks like a manufacture that shall be on my list! Thanks for sharing this, and wear it in the best of health! Stephen
Indeed it is

The quality of the movement finish is superb, especially at this price. I cannot think of a comparable. Case work is excellent, while dial work is good, but overall package is top notch. - SJX
Finally, you have come round to the Light side of the Force

SJX, Congratulations! PuristS have always supported the Chopard LUC Manufacture since the beginning of their adventure in 1999. Now, all the moderators in Singapore have LUC watches And most of us have Grand Seiko too. Maybe there are common threads of ha...

I like the microrotor very much. I wish I knew more about this watch. I'll have to do some reading! Wear it in the best of health. Best, Jed

I am also very tempted with this piece and I am glad you are also endorsing it.I hope you got yourself a good number as these are probably the earlier pieces. The one I looked at was No. 1. cheers fernando This message has been edited by fernando on 2009-1...
I know but
By: fernando : December 8th, 2009-00:10
that is not my favorite no.( too lonely) I usually go for a certain no. that starts with a 2. It's quite a light watch even though it's WG,isn't it? Have you tested its accuracy yet? cheers fernando
The weight is there
By: SJX : December 8th, 2009-00:12
but not hefty like a similarly sized Lange. It feels more Swiss than German, but not lightweight. Haven't looked at the accuracy yet but I trust it will run perfect as it was checked by Chopard before I bought it. - SJX
Very nice!

The Tech Twist is not to my taste
By: SJX : December 8th, 2009-22:32
I think this one is by far the best looking of all the open dial LUC watches. Wristshots to come soon. - SJX
