What next

So, I should begin with my short version of me as a collector. I started serious when I was able to purchase my first rolex. From there I got interest on mechanical watches, so normally I went to other brands like zenith and panerai. So sport watches.

Then one day I had the opportunity to get into ALS, a very simple saxonia. I never thought that I could be happy with a watch that is functionally very simple: time only.

From that point I started to gravitate more towards dress watches, VC, grand Seiko (a beautiful manual wound caliber).

After that my collection moved towards the simple watches (no complications), since I feel they are versatile at the time of just adjusting the time every time I want to use it.

After months l, was able to get a chronometre Bleu (fp journe).

The dilemma is what should be next, I’m looking for getting more into small independents. Say Moritz Grossmann, Laurent Ferrier, Lang and heyne, or even fp journe again.

I’m looking for advise, if I had to I think I would go for another journe, specifically the chronometre souveran Havana dial, the only problem is that looks very similar to the Bleu.

So friend, I want to hear opinions

What will be next? What will grab my attention and drive me crazy for some time before I pull the trigger? A nice feeling. Enjoy the hunt. No advice here, just to go with what you love.

Hi Rodrigo, first off my compliments for your collection and taste. The best advice I think is "follow what you love on the wrist", quoteing other comments, but here are some ideas if you are interested: 1) Parmigiani Tonda 39 PFC222-1200100-HA3141 2) MB&...

Go for depth or aesthetics

As a newbie, I had wanted to top my collection with a perpetual calendar. Then, I realized that I did not understand the workings of a complicated watch. Instead, I opted for watches with more depth. For example, a Chopard Quattro with 8 day power reserve...

Yeah, I find many just looking for uber complicated watches....

At the end of the day they are not super practical, instead become a liability (at least to my view). I want something clean, something that I can just pick up, wind it and strap it. After all “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”

The brands you mention are all great choices.

Throw in Urban Jurgensen, as someone said, and you have a lot to choose from. Good luck!

I just bought a H Moser

Rodrigozzz, an option not mentioned yet is H Moser. A brand that is in the news a lot these days with their concept and purity dial watches. I just received a Endeavor concept dial, RG, 40.8mm cosmic green dial, pictured below. Their new perpetual is unbe...
