Watch received back from Omega after being away for 10 weeks.  Now works OK as far as the power reserve is concerned.  I've sent a letter to Omega asking if they think the fault was acceptable on a new watch and suggesting that they get approved dealers to at least check that automatic watches work to specification with regards to power reserve and accuracy before selling them.
