... and 5070P still looks better to me.
If i had to compare them :
Dial : IMO Black is too hard of a color, stiff, "inflexible", especially the enamel black which maybe is as deep as a black can be. It doesn't let you "capture" it, contrary to a Matte black which is easier to look it. It has its fans, but if you are not, you might get bored of it. Breguet numerals gives it an edge though.
Blue is much easier to love, and the blue of 5070P is outstanding, maybe one of the nicest blue dial Patek ever did,... as we called it over here "50 shades of blue". 1/0 for 5070P
Movement : 5370P, no competing here.... 1/1
Case of 5370P is near to perfect, while 5070P is more a matter of taste, flaws making its charm. In my book, charm overlasts perfection. Slightly bigger and thinner too, i still prefer the 5070P... 2/1 for 5070P
If i had to choose one, i'd go for 5070P. Tried a few times the 5370P, very nice piece, but not sure if i would trigger. Maybe if the dial was blue?
I agree, they are cousins, but the 5070P still being the king of the hill
P.s: Joe you gotta do something about that black/red strap... even if you have to change your car :P
