Rolex

Since it has its correct insert, it also has a lot of wrist time. A new chapter of my love story with this reference has started. The evidence? I was at my bank to pick a few watches for next week, and I fell on this one. I didn't plan to get it, but when...  

I have a bit "lost the taste" with vintage Rolexes. There seem to be so much B.S. around those that it is already unpleasant. In my profession "Gentlemen's Word is still his Bond". I have learned to trust people and the counter parties trust me. If I say ... 

And a lot of patience. We are far from compulsive purchases, here. No, my friend, when you are interested in a model, after a while, you can quite quickly see if it is good or not. But it takes time before you can do that. Best, Nicolas

Afterr, you have some tropical beauties, with terrific Brown dials. But finding one with a very nice dial is a challenge... Best, Nicolas

I suspect the insert is a filed down 5513 but I do not really care... The dial is flawless (dirt you see is on the crystal) and have the infamous exclamation point... And this golden patina is to die for I have since put her on a period correct 7206 rivet...
