Rolex: As always, thanks for the kind words Nicolas...

... Make me fell better about "overpaying" as you said. And I am not a flipper, at least I do plan to keep this one and wear it and enjoy it for some time. As for the hands, I am not really bothered by them for the moment I might see that with Michael Young if need be at some point (I live in HK and

Rolex: New acquisition - 6610 Red Depth

Hi all I know this model is a favorite on this forum, thanks to Joe Baron incredible reference article. I was fortunate enough to recently acquire this all original example (the correct gilt hands with elongated Benz might have been relumed but I do not really care). Serial is 114.xxx, caseback date

Rolex: What a great topic....

A very tiny hairline can be seen, going from the coronet to the bottom of the 1 o'clock marker. It is very difficult to make out and I have not managed to capture

Rolex: Beautiful example Nicolas! I guess I have to chime in with mine...

I suspect the insert is a filed down 5513 but I do not really care... The dial is flawless (dirt you see is on the crystal) and have the infamous exclamation point... And this golden patina is to die for I have since put her on a period correct 7206 rivet bracelet and the wearing pleasure is unmatch
