Love it.

I think the Yachtmaster is one of the best looking Rolex designs. Heard it was meant to be the new Submariner when developed. Also heard it might be discontinued.

It will be discontinued

But when? The first YM came in 1992, if I remember it correctly. And the platinum version some 5 or 7 years after... So yes, one day it will disappear from the catalog, and like many artists, its time of glory will come... Once dead. Best, Nicolas

Great shot of a great watch nico

I got this for my wife last year and toyed with getting teh gents size for myself. Somehow I fund tthe smaller proportions of the lady's version lends itself better to this watch... maybe I need to put it in the wrist again.

You know my strange journey with this watch.

Bought it in 2001, sold it in 2005... Rebought in 2008. " Can't live " without it. It is such a particular Rolex! Best, Nicolas

That´s a most gorgeous watch, shown in the great photo it deserves! ...

Most underrated Rolex watches. Not sure why it's not more popular - lovely! Ross

The fact that it is under rated is also part of its interest.

 By: amanico : January 29th, 2012-04:50
Those who own it are big fans. The others have to discover it, and, as for any other great watch, the more you live with it, them ore youb appreciate it. One of my very favourite modern Rolex, definitely. Best, Ross, and thanks for your input. Nicolas Thi...

nice shot

One for a Captain, a Commander.... A toolwatch which has a lot of style. Funnily, it was quite impossible to get one, from 1999 to 2002. After, it was much easier. But it was also the case for most of the professional Rolexes. If your road crosses the Yac...

I love it!

 By: Miranda : January 29th, 2012-18:33
its been described as many things.... a fake sub for instance... but actually...it represents Rolex, in so many ways for the modern 00's era back in the 50's and 60's the old tool watches had a role to play, but lets face it in todays world of technology,...

Superbly put, my friend. This is it! [nt]

Rolex took one of it's timeless designs and gave it an elegant touch with that bezel and dial color. The red seconds hand only emphasizes the sporting nature of this watch. Lovely watch. You keep coming more and more from your hat!!!! Best my friend. René...

The red touches, although subtle, add a lot to the YM, indeed.

 By: amanico : January 30th, 2012-11:05
It dynamizes the dial, it gives it life, and adds a lot of charm. A watch to fall in love with, but an old one, as it is in my collection for quite a long time, if you consider that I bought it in 2001, sold it in 2005 and rebought it a few years later......

Don't tell your wife, but....

 By: adman7 : February 1st, 2012-19:13
wore mine today to the office after not wearing for a long time . . ..and smiled at my wrist several times wondering why I don't wear it more often. It's one that doesn't get enough love from some . . ..but once you wear it you understand. Great photo!

Exactly the same, here, Sean, my friend.

 By: amanico : February 1st, 2012-22:15
And in summer, it is even better, wirth its dial sparking under the sun. Best, Sean! Nicolas
