Congrats for another great write up Abel!

It's a lovely piece, and some wrists fit that size very well.
Enjoy it in very good health.
As you an Nico mentioned, it looks similar to some JLC designs of the past.
I was looking to the sunday post by Nicolas and realized I let go a very nice JLC that looked like a 2285 in that post,
and very affordable!
Now I regret it.

Un fuerte abrazo mi amigo.

René

Not only nice old tool watches make me smile!

We, Rolex vintage collectors usually think about those great tool watches which made this brand famous for. I´m not an exception to the rule, but sometimes I feel that not looking around and exploring other variants, means missing part of the fun. Of cour...

I really wish.......

That Rolex would make a offer a few elegant options like this today. But they seem to have narrowed their scope to tool watches - partly through their marketing created perception that they are in fact a too watch company. But their history is rich with e...

... this watch and find it interesting. Have a nice Easter week end too! Very cordially, Abel.

Congratulations!

You have a beautiful Precision. It would suit my 6.5 inch wrist beautifully as I collect medium/small sized watches of around 34 mm diameter.

Oh yes, a 34 mm watch would look so nice on your wrist!...

There is a life outside the professional models! This is a good alternative to the brands you mentionned, and i would also add JLC. Too small, 34 mm? Elegance is never too small, my friend, and I find this lovely jewel very well proportioned. Thanks for a...

Hola amigo Nicolas! Yes I should have mentioned JLC...

... among the brands, and surely in a first place! Sorry I forgot that one! You are so right mentioning that size has nothing to do with elegance or charme. The present trend is to big sized watches of course, and though I feel completely comfortable with...

... if you study the style of this particular watch, and blind the markings, you would be inclined to think more in a JLC than in Rolex. May be Rolex designers had that prestigious brand in their minds in those times, when working at the drawing board. Un...

... so glad you like this piece, and agree that 34 mm is a very wearable handsome size for this type of watches. I really enjoy having this one on my wrist from time to time, as well as other simular sized timepieces. Thank you for sending your kind comme...

... Yes, this little Rolex got the 60´s look of some nice watches from brands like JLC. I understand your feelings for letting go a beauty. This happens many times in the life of a collector. In these occassions, I try to convince myself with the old...

stunning dial colour ...

And condition. You are absolutely right, the camera cannot capture the true beauty of this dial. It has to be seen in the flesh. Huge congrats Abel. Nico was spit in too. There is good life beyond Rolex tool watches. Ed.

Hello Edward! Thank you for your comments...

... it is true that the dial got an unbelieveable blue color. It was that dial what more attracted me to this watch when I saw it for first time. Well, then I took a look to the lovely movement and I couldn´t resit taking it home! Glad you liked it! ...
