... presented in your post. I remember that episode but loved to view it again!
Sea Hunt was filmed during the 1958 to 1961 period, in 155 episodes. These episodes were then aired through decades, and sometimes I get surprised to find it again nowadays in certain cable channels devoted to old and classic films and TV shows.
It was filmed in Catalina Islands, the then famous Marineland of Pacific tanks, and in Silver Springs Florida, with some chapters in Bahamas too, among the main locations.
It was the first TV series filmed with a big part of its 30 minutes episodes underwater. Soon several other TV shows followeed, among them the most important one was "The Acquanauts" filmed in Malibu, California.
I feel you may know these famous places in your area. I visited USA for the first time in 1966 with my dad, and I was such an strong fan of the series, that asked him to take me to many of those places, and we have been in Silver Springs and Marineland (presently closed) and Malibu just for that reason. My dream was to be able to meet Bridges who lived in California then, but couldn´t cumpliment that dream though.
I was a child of just ten years when I viewed the chapters first time, but this series and the first books and films of Jacques Cousteau made such an strong impression in that child I was then that I dreamed with learning to scuba dive, and get my first Scuba rig and my first Rolex Submariner.
Something I accomplished (my first scuba diving course) in around 1964 or 65, and my first Submariner (5513) in 1966 with my first Scuba tank and regulator.
My last dive was done in 2011, and I discovered that the passion was the same, but my sedentary life is paying its toll.
I should need to make a lot of physical excercise if I wish to make a new dive!
Well, I am 66 years old now, and I know there are many veteran sport scuba divers around, but they surely practice some fitness schedule to mantain their bodies in shape. I spend too many hours behind a desk at office!
Thank you again, and best cordial regards, Abel.
