. . . but since you're posting this paean to the 1675, it's also appropriate here.
Last week, while standing in line at the bank, I noticed what appeared to be a GMT on the wrist of an older gentleman standing a yard or so behind me. After making a few surreptitious confirmatory glances, I said to him, "Nice watch. Are you the original owner?" The answer was yes, but then he surprised me with the following remark: "I don't know if they still make this model." When I assured him the GMT was a popular reference, he was a bit surprised, and not even sure that Rolex was still an ongoing business.
Remarkable, no? A watch that any of us would jump thru hoops for, and here's an original owner who doesn't pay the slightest attention to the hoopla!
