So all of you guys are ganging up on me now eehhhh????? LOL
Hehehe...thks guys for sharing your genuine love and passion for vintage rolex. If i can tell you a short story, Every pc came to me by chance.
1) 8171 padellone, got it from auctioned. 1st ever auction bid, 1st ever rolex , 1st ever vintage...(LUCK?).......this one starts it all
2) 6239 tropical. A friend who is a dealer was delivering some vintage Pateks to customer in my city. He has it with him and it was love at first sight. (FAITH.?)
3) 6241 gold PN. Was casually meeting another dealer in Singapore, saw the most beautiful object in the world....and the rest is history. (COINCIDENCE?)
4) 5512 tropical. This watch was shown to me by a friend, never wanted a sub, but its just to good and gorgeous to pass. (Just mend to be?)
So gentlemen, i try not to hunt for a specific watch. But if one surface that meets my EYES approval, i usually do not hesitate.
DESIRABILITY, RARITY, QUALITY has to come to play before anything else.
All the watches you mention are fantastic Joe. Who knows some day a DRSD or 6542 GMT pops up that Ticks all my boxes. I love/prefer the " NATURAL" process of Purchasing A watch then " HUNTING" for a specific model. This mind set actually helps me be open minded to great opportunity when an excellent example pops up. And Not to just fokus on One particular model.. Hence u see my diverse collection.
Thanks a lot guys for trying to poison me more. Lets see what the future brings. Most important now is to enjoy the watch and the friendship that is created. Love you all.

I never thought i would get a sub . But this one is special so its a no brainer. The GMT belongs to a fellow collector. I think he wont part w it even if u put a gun on his head. Its a real beauty that one. Best Iceman

Collection! I think a GMT maybe like Nicolas' 6542 is next? Or something like Baron's 1665 PP (one of the best I've seen)? Those 2 watches will be an awesome addition to your collection.
