.....as the previous offering was essentially unwearable to anyone with even am average wrist. This new 40mm seems a lot more user-friendly. To be blunt, though, I will need to see this one on my wrist before i can tell how much i like it. I love Sea-Dwellers, but its the 1665 that really floats my boat. To see whether this new model gets vaguely close will be interesting. My passion for vintage GMT is not as strong, hence its easier for the modern Pepsi to get me excited.
New GMT ( White Gold case ) : Milgauss Green Glass, Blue dial. New Sea Dweller: Pictures published on the Rolex Website. All 3 in 40 mm case, stainless steel for the Seadweller and the Milgauss, white gold only for the blue red GMT. No special Dayto, exce...
Yes, Rolex managed to successfully merge red and blue on the cerachrom to re-create a tribute to one of the most famous historic GMTs. At last, a really decent effort from Rolex at a tribute. And this is certainly a watch that many will adore. As Nicolas ...
I better start saving now. I guess it'll be a few months before these hit the market so my target, SFr 1. multiplied by 31,400 for the dream beverage. Dean
Yes it would certainly be the star Joe, for many of us. I saw there was a new Sea dweller too. This is a perfect Sub-like for me as there is no Cyclope loup. So, Am I very happy to see hte perfect Sub-like version again in the collection or would I pick t...

It's hard to pay $40k for a WG GMT. There are so many great watches you can get for less. A vintage 1675 is a fraction of the price and was the inspiration of this watch. You can buy historical models like a COMEX for the same price and get the history, i...
The issue of this pespi dial in white gold is pure genius. People wanting the iconic pepsi will have to go deep in their pocket to get it. And I imagine it will be a very, very nice watch indeed. Even nicer in the metal. I guess it will be quite long, if ...
Is the new Milgauss dedicated to the OZ market? Blue and green, that's for opals;) don't like the combination that much. The new GMT white gold case on the other end is very pleasant. I think I like it. Cheers Francois from Down Under
it is;) The only, tiny little thing I don't like about it, is.......the width of the bracelet between the lugs. If it were, say, 1-2 mm wider it would reduce the "bulky" visual of the lugs and make it look more elegant, "a la" 16750 or 1675 for example. T...
....people say that about the Black/Blue, yet on the wrist it doesn't feel at all out of proportion to me. Oh well, I guess i am just going to need to try it on!
That is the only way to appreciate, or not, these modern Rolex. But I fear the new Milgauss will disappoint me. As I think that I will fall for the new GMT. If only it was in stainless steel!!! Best, my friend. Nicolas
.. Would assume the WG makes it a bit more elusive, possibly.. .. guess, I have to get a bit, careful again, not to exhaust myself in the modern Rolex camp.. - But seeing it, never is a mistake, I suppose Hmmmm... Best, hs
You could be right but it would be somewhat of a Franken? Would fit the BLNR more with the blue 24 hr. hand. It shouldn't happen but I guess it's possible. Best fernando
I've always been eyeing the Sea Dweller but due to the large size of the previous DSSD, I never considered buying one..now, the 40 mm SD will most likely be the next purchase..i had a feeling Rolex would come out with either a ceramic Pepsi or Coke GMT ba...
Putting a 2 tone bezel on the GMT. That's a great pice of news and a very attractive one (even if the white gold price threshold will be harder to reach). The Cellini, on this picture, seems lovely, quite pure and elegant. an interesting offer. The Sea Dw...
The Cellini also exists in a Date and in a Time only versions: As for the Two tone matter, I didn't express my thoughts correctly, I meant two colors o.c., the black not being a problem together with another color, but being a real issue otherwise (at the...
I have to say that Rolex really failed to dazzle me with this years releases. They only released three Oyster models that normal Rolex lovers might buy. All three are slightly updated versions of older models (a new Cerachrome Bezel for the GMT, an update...
When they don't, it is the same outcome. Rolex is clearly not thinking about visiting the past, Tudir is here for that and Tudor does a superb job, I must say... But I agree that Cellini apart, ther is no ture novelty this year. Best, Nicolas
At the very least Rolex should have some surprises every year. Although I didn't like the Skydweller and would never buy it, but it was a surprise when it was released. This year I don't think there is anything I would ever buy and there is certainly noth...
As a general point, I understand your opinion. On the other hand, the pepsi dial GMT is what vintage lovers have been calling for from Rolex for a number of years...and this year Rolex deliver exactly that...a tribute to the vintage Pepsi GMT. Rolex is a ...
Daydates on a leather strap are not classic as they show their original purpose as a bracelet watch. Cellinis are more convincing. As someone mentioned before: looks like the DS has a less squared case again, which would be nice. Thanks for the pictures M...
since I started on this journey.. Love the new SD..too bad the GMT is in WG and I have a feeling the red/blue will probably never make it down to the SS..kinnda like the Smurf Sub.. actually shot an email to my AD about the new SD... looking forward to on...
and I'm actually glad it is on white gold only as it really does make it special for those that can get one. Big thumbs up to Rolex for this one :) Thanks for the information Nico, Andy.
I really like the Pepsi GMT. The hunt is on for a ceramic inlay and a 24h hand to fit it to a steel GMT! The new Milgauss may become my summer watch should I tire of my 1680 yg with purple dial. Unfortunately, though, they messed up the new SD for me! The...
The new SD, well, I am not a client for this one, since my SD, the one in my heart is a certain DRSD MK II PP. So, I didn't pay that much attention to it. As for the new Milgauss, I have to see it in the flesh before any definitive judgement. But if I had...
is the most important thing Rolex has produced in a long time! It looks stylish and I think they will get a whole new customer base with this model. The new Cellini (the old ones being, what can I say, BLEH!) will be competing against all the dress watche...
Or do we buy a quality, nicely made tool? With the Cellini, I agree that Rolex takes the bet. But the Rolex clients, and the non Rolex clients? That is an interesting question, for sure! Best, and thanks for your feedback. Nicolas
that is the question indeed. It is safe to say however that Rolex watches are more or less bulletproof. And everybody knows that. So if that characteristic comes in a dresswatch it might well be a winner. My only 'concern' is: how thick is the case and ho...
I hope they won't be too successful. Just like the recent Prince models, these new Cellinis have a wonderful combination of being high quality, rare, very carefully designed, and just a little bit quirky to keep them interesting over many years. And if th...
I think it will look nicer when Nico gets his D-lux6 working on that blue dial :-) That "pepsi" should have a ss version regardless A plexi on that would be interesting as well. One thing i like to see is them removing those circular borders around the ho...
but that might as well be because it's not seen in the flesh. I own a GV and love it. So i'm very curious how it looks with a blue dial, but as mentioned above digital it looks sh*t
The Cellini was for a long time something completely different to the rest of the offer. For the first time it is coherent with other models with a more refined/flat profile (remember old veriflat reference). The dials looks awesome on pictures, good job ...
The coke GMT--of course everyone wanted that--kind of irritating that Rolex chose to make it WG. NO ONE wanted that. But the can't wait crowd will shell out for it. Shrug--cynical and off-putting move by Rolex. We know it will be in SS whenever sales of W...
They try to stick to their original choices, as we could see... The Cellini, I agree with you it doesn't move me, by far... As for the Milgauss, I have to see it, I doubt it will move me, too... Best, and thanks for your feedback, my friend. Nicolas
