The definition I’ve found on internet says (for what it’s worth: once again, I’m really ignorant about this topic): chrono comp. + astronomical comp. (but not necessarily a perp. cal.: it mentions a simple calendar or a moonphase) + acoustical comp. (including alarm and passing strike: so not necessarily a minute repeater). Would you agree? Or do you think this definition isn’t strict enough? Does it absolutely have to be at least flyback chrono + perp. cal. + minute repeater?
Anyhow, there’s no doubt that, according to this definition, a perp. cal. chrono isn’t a true “grande complication”. And it’s also very clear that a true “grande complication” is a very rare and exceptional thing, and that may be the reason why Patek decided, in their catalogue, to give this name to an entire collection, going all the way from perp. cal. moonphase to Grandmaster Chime.
