But it's €€.€€€ for what you get. But if you like it and got the budget for it, why not? Do think that depreciation on the long run will be a bit more compared to gold. Just because of the hefty price tag. But again; if you like it that should hold you ba...

I find that the feel, the density, the substance, the seriousness in your hand, is incredible. It is an uncomparable TACTILE sensation. "Love at first touch". But then, I am biased, as I adore the magic of platinum. I agree with your point, of course, the...

Since you mention robust and reliable chronograph, ask yourself how many times you will use said "robust and reliable chronograph" to time anything at all. By all means buy it if you love it - there should be no other reasons necessary; and certainly no r...

I have with modern watches including this one is the following: I already know at least 5 friends who have one. More troubling I see the watch everywhere. In Cannes, in Sardenia. And in Zurich where I live, there are literally all over the place already. ...

Yes...and no. On the one hand, you shouldn't really care what is on someone else's wrist, but only the degree of pleasure driven by what is on your own wrist. On the other hand, if rarity is a key issue for you, what is on the wrist of others will also af...
Rarity is only one criteria

Joe- I fully understand your point about rarity. Rarity for me is one criteria but also by far not the only one. I also understand your point about being overly concerned what others are doing and what other people wear. I can't help it. I do worry about ...

60% of my watches are vintage, historic pieces. 40% are modern. I love them all more or less equally, each one for very specific reasons. But i couldn't care less what others think of the watch i am wearing! I have been learning and collecting for nearly ...

If asked to choose only one watch that I would be allowed to wear for the rest of my life, this one, along with the 5980, is among the chosen ones. R

It has strong presence, is robust, easy and quite cheap to service, rare, versatile, looks great. It is a chrono, my favourite complication. What else can I say? You really feel that you have a watch on your wrist... R

i put it on my wrist. The mass, the colors, the overall feel are simply breathtaking. Besides, I do not like roman numerals. They make the dial a bit too busy. One of the most impressive watches i have seen. And my expectations were not very high... R
