the less popular but equally attractive version of these early Daytona's, but then again I am biased. There were 2 versions of the porcelain dial for the 16523 and 16528, the later short run had a thicker print type and can be found in the R9 serial range.


I find the 16523 a more practical day to day wear with the resilience of steel but the luxury and warmth of gold. Mine is one of the last floating cosmographs before the introduction of the 4 line dial with 200 mph bezel.

Great  write up on these modern Daytonas which are getting harder to find in pristine condition or with B&P set.
