First of all, I saw somethere a black and blue insert, so I am not sure it existed... Or not. To be confirmed...
Or infirmed...
Back to this 116 710, now.
What I love a lot, on this Watch, is the bezel. Its warmth reminds me the bakelite bezel of the 6542...
Which sings very loud to me.
I am a big GMT Fan, it is not a secret. Especially of the Vintage ones, gilt, matte or no crownguards, it doesn't matter, the Vintage GMT is THE vintage GMT. A milestone which should be included in any serious collection ( you see how biased I sound? )
And I have a hole in my collection: A modern GMT. Since I sold my first " serious " Watch, a 16700 from 1998. I should have never sold it!
So, I will certainly hunt a 16700 or 16710 Tritium, AND a 116 710, not only because it is a must have for a serious collector, but first of all because I fell in love since I saw this ref appearing in 2007.
I still have to see a blue black insert in the flesh, but I love the pics I am seeing...
Now, I will patiently wait till March 2014, just to be sure that they will not release a Blue and Red insert... Or Black and Red...
But one thing is sure, I will get one!
Now, to read that this one will be on the highest place of your wish list is a surprise, but you are finally on the way of Truth!
Best, my dear Joe.
